About the Enterprise

The Municipal Enterprise “Zalishchyky Vodokanal” of the Zalishchyky City Council is a public utility company that provides centralized water supply and wastewater services in the city of Zalishchyky. The enterprise operates on the basis of its Charter, approved by Resolution No. 436 of June 17, 2016 (with amendments) of the Zalishchyky City Council of Chortkiv District, Ternopil Region.

The Municipal Enterprise “Zalishchyky Vodokanal” was established by Resolution No. 286 of the Zalishchyky City Council session on March 30, 2016, pursuant to paragraph 30 of Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine,” with the aim of providing quality water supply and wastewater services. The owner and founder of the enterprise is the Zalishchyky City Council.

The enterprise was registered in the Unified State Register on April 4, 2016, under code 40395051. Its main activity is classified as 36.00 – Water collection, treatment, and supply. It also provides services stipulated in the Charter to both legal entities and individuals. The Charter was approved by Resolution No. 436 of the Zalishchyky City Council dated June 17, 2016 (with amendments).

The enterprise provides centralized water supply and wastewater services in Zalishchyky under License No. 386-od issued by the Ternopil Regional State Administration on June 22, 2016, and under Special Water Use Permit No. 21/TP/49d-24 issued by the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine on February 1, 2024.

  • Removal of liquid household waste

Infrastructure

Currently, the enterprise operates a complex of facilities, including:

  • 4 pumping stations with a capacity of 2.8 thousand m³/day
  • 3 clean water reservoirs with a total capacity of 0.5 thousand m³
  • A water tower
  • 20 fire hydrants
  • A water supply network with a length of 54 km
  • A sewage network with a length of 3.6 km

The Vodokanal serves 2,834 subscribers. The city’s water supply networks have been in operation for more than 50 years and require replacement and ongoing repairs.

Since the city lacks individual water supply sources, “Zalishchyky Vodokanal” is the sole provider of water supply and wastewater services in Zalishchyky.
